CHALLENGE: Create Company Alignment
A key player in the advanced packaging segment of the semiconductor and microelectronics manufacturing space, Deca Technologies went through a period of rapid growth followed by a transition to a pure play technology IP provider. Its existing mission and vision no longer reflected the company or its employees. The leadership team wanted the entire company to participate in creating the new mission and vision, in part to establish an inclusive corporate culture.

STRATEGY: Creating The Future Together
To build morale and engagement, we conceptualized, planned and executed a one-day event to bring the team together and build a solid foundation for employees.
As Deca is headquartered in Tempe, AZ, we suggested a “Wild West” theme, held offsite at a nearby guest ranch that offered an opportunity to form personal connections through team building activities.
Employees participated in a half-day mission workshop designed to expand their thinking beyond tactical, to develop the new corporate persona and desired perception in the market.
After completing the hard work, roping contests and a team orienteering activity promoted problem solving, communication, customer connection, and team solidarity.
RESULTS: A brand new DECA
After guiding the Deca team through our collaborative process, we delivered new mission and vision statements that reflected the company at its core:
Vision: Expand what’s possible.
Mission: Deliver comprehensive electronic interconnect technology, empowering customers to turn ideas into products.
By securing buy-in for the Mission and Vision from the entire team, we were able to help Deca strengthen its employee connections and team morale because they became highly invested in the company and its success.
