It’s the time of year that professionals in the semiconductor industry look forward to – SEMICON West. The event will be collocated with the FLEX conference and taking place at the same time and location as the Design Automation Conference (DAC), gathering the leading companies throughout the microelectronics and design supply chain in one place.
This year, the event returns to the Moscone Center in San Francisco July 11-13, marking its final appearance in the summer before shifting to October in 2024. In 2025, SEMICON West will make its debut in Phoenix, known as the “Silicon Desert,” which is particularly exciting for us at Kiterocket as it will be close to our headquarters in downtown Phoenix.
Over the years, SEMICON West has evolved thanks to the dedicated SEMI team who consistently create new opportunities to enhance the event’s value. This year, the focus of SEMICON West is “Building a Path Forward” for the semiconductor industry. The event’s programs will cover various topics, including sustainability, talent development, supply chain management, and U.S. CHIPS Act investments. Keynotes and panel sessions will also address the semiconductor industry’s growth toward achieving $1 trillion in annual revenue and the journey to Net Zero.
Personally, what I’m most excited about at this year’s show is the opportunity to meet face-to-face with my connections in the semiconductor community. Despite the changes the event has undergone, SEMICON West remains an excellent platform for networking with industry professionals and friends, especially at the Kiterocket Lounge.

When we say this is where the experts gather, we mean it. This year, the Kiterocket Lounge will host an exclusive media event featuring a panel titled “How AI is Reinventing the Semiconductor Industry Inside & Out.” Led by Gaurav Gupta, a VP Analyst with Gartner, the discussion will explore the impact of AI on chipmaking with executives from Renesas, Synopsys, tinyML Foundation, and Advantest.
In addition to all the exciting technology, new services, and M&A-related announcements that typically take place during SEMICON West, the Kiterocket team also will be meeting with industry leaders to share how we too are expanding our industry expertise and strengthening our strategic partnerships with our clients.
